5.) Up (2009)

Up is a 3D animation movie by Pixar which tells the story of Carl Fredricksen and Russell as they journey towards Paradise Falls, the location which Carl and his wife, Ellie, swore to go to one day. Carl travels to Paradise Falls in honor of his wife’s wish, while Russell wants to get a badge for helping the elderly. They meet a lot of interesting characters during their journey, and discover companionship amongst them. This is surely a must-watch for those wanting an adventure of cuteness and all that jazz. Who wouldn’t want to squeeze Russell’s cheeks?
4.) Monte Carlo (2011)

It’s because of Monte Carlo that lots of people now know and appreciate Monte Carlo, Monaco (we definitely did!). This rom-com revolves around Grace Bennett as she is accidentally mistaken as the British heiress, Cordelia Winthrop-Scott, and pretends to be her. She, along with her best friend Emma Perkins and stepsister Meg Kelly, explore Monte Carlo and …(*squeals*) falls in love. This film not only showed Monte Carlo, but also other European areas like Paris, Budapest, Harghita, and Dunakeszi. If you’re interested in a summative taste of Europe, this movie’s for you.
3.) Only You (1994)

This movie is the oldest in the list, but don’t let that discourage you from watching it. Only You is a quirky and rather random movie, as it follows Faith Corvatch and her adventure to meet her destined one, “Damon Bradley”. She travels to Italy as she hears that her fiancé had a friend named “Damon Bradley”, the name which she believed to be of the man she’ll marry, was flying to Venice. She goes around Italy to find Damon, only to fall in love with Peter, who pretended to be Damon at first. The movie has good shots of Italy, and perhaps, it will be enough to make you lust for the boot-shaped country. Also, a young Robert Downey Jr. is a plus factor!
2.) 21 (2008)

21 takes us to the Las Vegas, the famous land of gambling.  Ben Campbell has been accepted to his dream medical school, but has no way of paying his matriculation. So, he tries to fight in the fierce competition of the Robertson scholarship. Meanwhile, upon seeing his mathematical prowess, his professor prompts him to join his blackjack team because of the monetary benefits. This leads to Ben’s adventures in card counting in Las Vegas. Just like Only You, this movie shows lots of Las Vegas scenery. This film is for gambling enthusiasts and Las Vegas fans alike.
1.) The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005)

from playbuzz.com
Almost everyone knows about the Sisterhood. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is about a group of teenage girls who create a pact to send a pair of jeans that fit everyone miraculously around their circle. The movie focuses on each girl’s summer experience, so the audience get a chance to see four different whereabouts: Mexico, Maryland, South Carolina, and Greece. Although it didn’t focus too much on the places in the U.S., it showed beautiful landmarks in Mexico and Greece. Plus, it’s a good chick flick about the importance of friendship, no matter how far people are from each other.
